The third sector’s influence on business performance to justify the need for social innovation

Social companies have hugely developed in producing goods and services, complementing Government work and the market by meeting the population’s needs in delicate areas such as: social and labour reinsertion, health, education, food production, support for the elderly, etc. The aim of our research is to model social companies’ business guidelines and identify the key variables that foster social innovation in order to define new governance mechanisms for producing goods and public services.
